VITRIFIED BINDERS

The vitrified binder contents powder of molten glass, with filling materials and abrasive particles .
If metal or resin binders, have dense structures , the vitrified binders can be made with controlled porosities and diverse hardness. This is obtained in similar way to vitrified binders of conventional wheels.

APPLICATIONS WITH VITRIFIED BINDERS

The wheels with vitrified binder have proved rapidly their value in the rectification of bushes for cemented steel antifriction bearings . As examples of difficult applications, we prune to mention the rectification of trees of camshafts, for cars, rectification of side panels of rapid steel for pumps.
